my sisters age next year

Hello all, this weeks link is quite nice, although old, and is from one of my favorite organisations/ websites, the ministry of manipulation. Its best viewed if you read the accompanying article as well, as it is, well for me at least, quite funny.

I don't have much to say right now, sorry.
But instead of this, you can have a snippet of one of my memories of leeds festival, albeit in a youtube form.
Despite the shaky camera work, the audio is fairly good, and although there are hundreds of versions of this song on youtube from around the world, this was a really nice memory from the saturday at leeds, in the comedy tent.

Half of life, the universe, and everything.

I thought I'd better blog now, because I won't get another chance this week to Leeds festival.
It should be good.

So I thought I'd put up a link to a great, if warped web site amde by David Firth, who I can safely say, both scares and amuses me with his work.

Think about the number of rings from the lord of the rings, times four, minus one... Then kill me for the annoying titles of blogs.

Right, I'm back from prague, and still missing it. Needless to say, an amazing time was had by all.

This weeks video is somthing a bit different, somthing to chill out to, and maybe even a little bit melancholic. Please don't let that put you off though.

2 years before total freedom...

hello everyone,

I'll start with an apology for the lack of last weeks link (due to a weekend including a house party, seeing my gran, going to a leaving do for the now ex-director of harrogate youth theatre, seeing a production of animal farm, two gigs with tewit in pately bridge, a game of football, a picnic, a few games of rounders, and one of the msot amazing concerts I've seen, with the third ranked brass band in the world, Black Dyke Band, and somone who is well known as the best percussionist in the world, Dame Evelyn Glennie.)

Also, I'll apologise, because, due to going on tour in pargue with tewit, which will be amazing, there will probably be no blog next week.

So, I'll give you three links now ;)

LINK (s) :

The first link is an incredible baton isolation video, that I have been fairly addicted to recently.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=t-IEqG1P64A

My second link is purely because I lust for it.

http://www.firebox.com/product/1048/Lazy-Days-Hammock

and my third is to a really quite scary music video, which has had masses of controversy surrounding it in france. Art or brutality(?) make your own mind up.

So I give it to you; rodney mullen, on skateboarding.

my super sweet...............

So, guess what?
I'm sorry about the lack of recent blog activity.
Again.
This is mainly due to a hectic schedule of events, one of which being the highs and lows of the weekend at culture shock festival, in which I helped to run the circus tents, which, was good in places, but my mood was greatly affected by the wet weather.
I also saw abi taylor, one of my friends, perform, a few more of my friends perform,a band called unfinished drawings, boy kill boy, who were quite good, and last, but certainly not least, I raved my heart out to the point of exhaustion to the beautiful sounds made by utah saints.
Although around six chavs were trying to kill me in the crowd during utah saints set because I objected to them crushing the crowd forwards when there were girls leaning against the barriers who were being hurt by this. That sucked. But otherwise, Utah saints are amazing!

Anyways, moving on from personal matters.

This weeks link is a brilliant mix of visual production, magic, theatre, dance, projection, and, of course juggling. This is KATOAMPISTE by Ville Valo and Kalle hakkarinen.

1 more than alber lucas claims

Hello people,

This weeks link is to somthing that may interest you, and since I've let a little bit of time pass, its not really self promotion.

Two weeks ago I performed in gi60, a festival of 50 one minute plays, which was performed at stage one in leeds university. There are so, so many good points about gi60, but rather than listing them, I'll just send the link to where you can watch it.

This weeks link is inspired, in part, by a geography lesson.
Somone was on google in geography last week when we were doing coursework, and I told him about what a googlewhack was (the link will explain what it is,) and he found one within ten minutes, which is no mean feat at all.

so, to explain, the oxymoronic creation that is, the googlewhack website.
The person I know hasn't uploaded his.

I hope people can guess what this weeks cryptic title is, to be honest, coming up with them is one of my favorite bits about the blog.

This weeks link is a bit niche, but I still love it. This weeks link is for anyone who likes less mainstream dance, and old-school computer gaming. thats all I'm going to say in description. Enjoy.

Arg (upside down d)

I'm sorry, I keep missing blog time.
Its just, things like work, revision, and practice get in the way.

Still, better late than never I guess.

This weeks link is much similar to last time I was late, lots of videos, but I'm doing in a different way this week, in that, this weeks link is another blog site, dedicated to blogging videos and things of interest to jugglers/ object manipulators.
The videos range from the sureal to the sublime, including rowan atkinson's invisible drumkit, some nutter in a balood costume, amazing staff routines, and much more.

Nine upside down.....

This week, is a busy one for me.
I came back to school on the wednsday, having done no set coursework or homework in the holidays, due to leaving all of my books at school, because I didn't want to take them around germany with me. So obviously, thats infringed upon my time.
On a nice front, but still as infinging on my time, I had extra rehearsals with tewit (tewit well youth band, the brass band I play tenor horn in,) and have been practicing more, because tomorrow, we have the national youth brass band championship, and after getting a silver last year, this year we are aiming for a gold. hopefully, if all goes accordingly, we should be able to acheive that.
This coupled with all the other things I do anyway (running a juggling club, music lessons, etc.)
has resulted in me having not very much time this week, hence the late blog.

Relative to this, my link this week, is tewit youth band website, for all who are interested.

The fifth week.....

Hello any and all readers.......
Appologies for the niche nature of this weeks link.
This week, no talk of spoons, or sporks, or any such culinary related nonsensical rambling......
This week all the rambling will be about art, and the nature of art.

Well ok, I won't be doing the rambling, Luke burrage will be in his brilliant juggling podcast.
So, this weeks link is obviously just that, Luke burrages juggling podcasts.

LINK:http://www.lukeburrage.com/jugglingpodcasts.html

Check out the latest one, and listen to the rest.
If it means nothing to you, because you don't juggle learn ( I reccomend http://www.jugglingdb.com/compendium/startjuggling/learntojuggle.html )

That one that comes after 3........

As I write this I am very tired, a result that come from a seven day trip to berlin, in which four days were traveling, and in the traveling no sleep was had by me, followed by five days of juggling, and my first ever juggling performance.

So, this week, one random factoid, and a link that is very old, and probably only amusing to a very small amount of people, one of which being me.

random factoid; the correct term for a spork (fork/spoon hybrid often found on swiss army knives,) is a runcible spoon, and is referenced in the poem "the owl and the pussycat."

Bloggeth the third.

Its probably going to be a short one this week, due to lack of inspiration. also, there may or may not be a blog next week, or the week after, due to time constraints, as I'm going to berlin on a history trip on thursday, and the day after I get back, I'm going to the BJC (british juggling convention,) in which I'm competting in the BYJOTY ( british young juggler of the year,) show. So yeah, me is just a tad busy over easter : ]

Anyways, on with the linkage:

This weeks link is a short animation off of youtube, which is very nice and sweet I think, with a surprisng, and funny ending. Thanks to Little paul off rec.juggling for this, he sent it on the chatroom, and I was really quite ammused by it.

Numba 2

Hello any readers Who happen to be on this strange second rate imitation of a half-decent blog,

Just to straighten this up, as I've had a friend ask me;
Yes, this blog is weekly, but there is no set day on which I release it, just when I get round to/feel like it.

Now thats done away with, on with the blog.

I just thought of this, and it has been a recurring thought in my mind, and those of others I know;
What noise, exactly, does a moose make? Its really been bugging me. I thought maybe, a gutteral growl, thats not overly threatening. anyone who knows get in touch with me, I've linked my myspace, or, if you know me, send me an email, or talk to me on msn.

and now for the link;

This weeks link is from a brilliant web site called www.firebox.com, one of my favourite online stores, which offers anything from a jet engine powered flying car, to a plush puppet of kermit the frog, or even, to this weeks link, a wifi detecting tee-shirt. Yes, a wifi detecting tee-shirt.
seeing is believing.

And on that technocratic note, I'll end this entry.

Lets get things started

Hello To whoever it is that is reading this now (if anyone,)

First I'll introduce myself:
*My names luke
*I'm fifteen
*I'm obsessed by Juggling and my hair
*anything else you want to know, you can read, or talk to me about, on my myspace at www.
myspace.com/the_menatlist_saint

Now I'll introduce my blog:
*There is no point to this blog at all, other than to amuse myself and hopefully you too.
*I'll have random, silly, and avante guard thoughts on here, and a random, silly, or interesting link once every week, when possible
*I won't talk about my feelings on this blog, I have one for that already, and its quite depressing and dreary, and why would you want to read that?

So, to be honest, seen as this is an introductory post, and my mind has suddenly went completely empty of thoughts, I'll just link something I quite like, by a juggler called Wes Peden, who is an amazing juggler and a thoroughly lovely bloke. if you have the time and the money, download the full video (20 mins!) from his website, linked in the description on the right hand side on youtube.LINK:http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wxnhv5jIy58

Thanks for reading,
